Vans Warped Tour Review

So Friday marked my annual trip to vans Warped tour, and without a doubt this event never leaves me disappointed. For those unfamiliar warp tour is an all day concert with about 30 bands from the alternative/metal genre.
Since this concert is so large if you get there without a plan of attack you are sure to miss some favorites. My plan is usually straight forward and never fails-Check out as many scene chicks as possible, go in all the crazy mosh pits and maybe see a band or 2.
Some of the bands I went to see are as followed:
A Day To Remember:
These guys killed it, I have been a fan of them now for the last 6 months and they put on a hell of a show. Their pit was pretty intense with the massive amounts of fist flying i managed to get hit on the wrist leaving me with a crazy bruise, only to be followed shortly with a shoe to the face. Def a highlight of the day for me.
Some crazy Japanese band:
Not sure of the name of this band but they knew absolutely no English but played a killer set involving all kinds of horns. And the girl that played the bass was incredible.
Story of The year:
Amazing band that I have seen numerous times and they never disappoint. I know every lyric to every song they have and sang the entire time i was in the pit. Pit highlight included something I can only refer as the catapult-picture a belt being held by 2 kids, and as you go into it they pull the belt tight and shoot you out-I managed to knock over roughly 15 people while doing this.
As I Lay Dying:
All I can say is WOW, This band is amazing. They brought so much energy and had the biggest circle pit I have ever been a part of.
Pierce The Veil:
They played a cover of Michael Jacksons Beat It, and that confirms my theory of screaming makes everything better.
Alesana:
Good Band but the whole time I thought the lead singer was a girl I was wrong.

Friday Night I got a call from a friend who new a girl who was working on the tour and she somehow got us into the after party. This was def not what I expected from a party with rockstars, turns out they are pretty normal, I drank a few beers and ate some hotdogs talking mostly about bike riding and business.
Saturday I got a good track session in at Oldsmar BMX, and an even better session at BD,s Mongolian Grill. The rest of my weekend was spent recovering from a massive sunburn and lot of bruises from the pits. If you ever get the chance to attend Warped Tour do it.
