that’s how i used to squat until i started track last year & they complained that i need to keep my back straight & perpendicular to the floor, never felt quit right the way they were telling me.

Are you saying it doesnt feel right to squat the way I showed in the video or on your toes I am kinda confused?

No, the coaches always told me i had to keep back perfectly straight idk i cant really describe how they used to make me do it but it didn’t feel right at all.

Naturally you will lean forward as you descend the, key point is to keep your chest up tall by doing this it will force your back to stay tight eliminating any rounding of the lower back.
But physically staying straight up and down is not a very good idea.
